Share your slimming success story

Losing weight and achieving slimming success is a constant battle. When you begin any programme its likely you’ll be motivated, excited and keen to get the weight off. But it is a slow process and if you try to make significant changes in your lifestyle within a very short time, chances are that you will only be frustrated and disappointed with your efforts. But it is also easy to get side tracked.

When you start a new diet programme it is usual for the weight to come off easily and quickly and during this time it is easy for you to stay motivated. You will probably get compliments from friend and family, be able to fit into your clothes easier and seeing the scales go down every week is always a good reward for your hard work.

But how do you stay motivated when you hit the plateau that befalls us all?

I have been on one such plateau for months. With me I know what the problem is, my diet sucks at the moment. I have been very lucky that I haven’t hit the plateau sooner and I suppose if my diet was better I wouldn’t be on it at all. But I lack the motivation to stay away from the chocolate, I know I should and when I stand on the scales at the end of the week and it doesn’t move I promise to myself I will. But I still don’t.

Weight loss stories are always inspiring, especially if you also happen to struggle with losing weight and dieting. They can give ideas of how to stick to diets and exercise programmes and it is always encouraging to know that someone has managed it. They can bring inspiration and hope and show that weight loss is manageable and not an impossible feat. It may be a challenge but knowing other people have done it and succeeded it proves that with a little effort and time you could have the body you desire.
